Sudden hearing improvement after 7T magnetic resonance imaging

After participation in a research study involving 7 Tesla-MRI scan, long-term deaf patient reported sudden improvement his hearing abilities. This was first validated by aid specialist who checked and adjusted the patient’s after an audiometry. Afterwards appeared University Clinic of Otolaryngology, Head Neck Surgery for further testing. Here we diagnosed bilateral based on pure tone audiogram. While suffered from cantonal sensorineural loss 30dB low pitched tones with steep decline to 70 dB at 1,5 kHz only one year ago, current audiogram revealed medium high pitch kHz. The deep could no longer be found.
